How to Make Air Fryer Shrimp

After picking your raw or precooked shrimp with or without a tail. Start by preheating your air fryer at 400° F for 5 minutes.

Cook time varies for raw shrimp and pre-cooked shrimp. You can test for doneness using a food thermometer. When the shrimp is ready, the internal temperature of the shrimp should be 120 degrees F.

Also, since air fryer models are different, you may need to add about 1 to 2 minutes to the cooking time.

How to Cook Air Fry Frozen Shrimp

Frozen shrimps are best if you need an easy meal idea and have a bag of frozen shrimp in your freezer. But you will need additional time to cook frozen shrimp if you want them to cook through.

So let's start with seasoning. Seasonings don’t stick as well to frozen shrimp, so it is best to thaw frozen shrimp in the refrigerator before cooking.

Thawing shrimp takes about 24 hours in the fridge, and then you can season them.

To Cook frozen shrimp, place shrimp in an air fryer basket, in a single layer. Cook at 370F for 6 to 8 minutes. For raw shrimp, air fry for 8-10 minutes.

While air frying, shake the basket at least once to ensure they cook through. You don't want your shrimp cooking on only one side during the cooking process.

Depending on the size of your shrimp, you might need to adjust the time. Adjust your cooking times based on how your shrimp reacts to your air fryer.
