Salmon is an excellent source of Omega-3 fatty acids, which help with high cholesterol and blood pressure. Salmon comes in a variety of flavors depending on your choice.

A salmon stuffed with delicate crab meat and cream cheese is an absolute delight, simple to prepare, and can be ready in as little as 20 minutes.

This crab-stuffed salmon in the air fryer is a feast for all of your senses! It is made with creamy umami flavor and other mouth-watery flavors. The salmon will come out so soft and flaky that it practically melts in your mouth.

The hot air from the air fryer will heat the meat evenly and seal all the natural juice while infusing all the goodness from the crab filling. This is going to be by far your best-stuffed salmon.

Ingredients to  Make Stuffed Salmon

Salmon fillet (skinless). Always pick a salmon fillet that is springy and orange-pink, which indicates freshness.

Choose cream cheese filling. You can also substitute for cottage cheese, ricotta, mascarpone, or Greek yogurt.t

You can buy picked crab meat which is available in most grocery stores. Picked crab meat comes in five types; lump, backfin, special, and claw. Claws are the cheapest, and perfect for this recipe. Or get it from a fishmonger. This is better as the fishmonger will do all the hard work of removing all the meat for you.

Dijon mustard is relatively mild, with both sweet and spicy notes. You can use stone-ground mustard if you don’t have any.

Worcestershire sauce gives your air fry stuffed salmon its deep, umami flavor and an edge of sweetness. If you don't have Worcestershire, soy sauce and sugar will do just fine.

Include mayonnaise If you want to add a fresh, herby flavor to your dish. You can substitute the mayo for basil pesto.

Old bay seasoning. The main ingredients in old bay seasoning are celery salt and paprika, so you can use these as a substitute if you don’t have any old bay.

Fresh, chopped parsley for fresh dill. Sauteed bell pepper (optional). The color of the bell pepper you choose will alter the flavor of your filling - red and orange peppers are sweeter, while green peppers are more bitter.

After all your stuffing's are ready, add the cream cheese, crab meat, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, old bay seasoning, parsley, and bell pepper in a bowl, mix and set aside.

Place the 4 salmon filets on a cutting board and pat dry with paper towels. With a Haro knife, cut a deep slit into the side of each filet to create a pocket.

Slightly season with salt and pepper. Stuffed each pocket with about 2 tablespoons of the crab meat mixture.

After that, spray the air fryer basket with olive oil and cook at 390ºF for 8 to 10 minutes or until an internal temperature reaches 135ºF.  Serve with lemon wedges.

Please note that the exact cooking time will depend on your air fryer model and the size of your salmon filets, so always use a meat thermometer to check for a safe internal temperature of 145°F.

If using a mesh air fryer trail or basket, use aluminum foil, parchment paper, or reusable air fryer liners to avoid sticking the salmon to the basket.
