Spices: I’d suggest using a blend of your favorite spices to coat the beef roast, which will add extra flavor to the dish. Garlic powder, parsley, basil, onion salt, thyme, pepper etc. will do.

Oil: Olive oil is my go-to option to coat the piece of beef before I put the rub-on. It’ll make the rub stick and seep into the piece of beef.

Rosemary and thyme are needed in the following recipe, but you may go ahead and turn to any other herbs you want. You can try oregano, parsley or sage.

In general, rump roasts and chuck roasts are better suited to slow roasting as they can be hard and take longer cooking times to become really tender.

You can still air-fry them, but for the best results, they will need to be thinly sliced against the grain.

  • 2 pounds of beef.

  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon summer savory OR thyme

  • First, mix all the rub ingredients with salt and rub into the roast.
  • You want to place the fat side down in the air fryer’s basket
  • Spray with your preferred oil lightly.
  • Set the temperature of the fryer to 400 degrees F and air fry at this setting for 20 minutes straight
  • Rotate the beef - turn the fat-side up and again spray with oil lightly. Continue frying at this position and 400 degrees F temp for 15 more minutes.
  • Take the roast out of the fryer, tent it with foil paper and let it rest for about 10 to 15 minutes.

The duration mentioned for frying should yield a rare roast - which means the roast should have a temperature of 125 degrees F in its center on a meat thermometer. Fry for added time to get medium-well and well roasts. The duration should be 40- and 45-minutes medium and well roast respectively.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh of asparagus (ends should be trimmed)
  • 1/8 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1/8 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. To start with, you want to trim the ends of the asparagus. From the bottom, trim for about an inch up.
  2. Take a plate and place the asparagus. All over the asparagus, drizzle the extra virgin olive oil we're using for this recipe. Sprinkle the ground black pepper and kosher salt over it. Now toss to get the asparagus coated with the ingredients.
  3. Place it into the fryer basket. Set the temperature to 400 degrees F, and for 7 minutes.
  4. When the timer hits, remove the basket, let the asparagus cool down a little bit and serve.

  1. Beef chuck roast
  2. Salt and pepper
  3. Soy sauce
  4. Orange juice
  5. Worcestershire sauce

Marinade First: You have to marinade the beef first, obviously. The process is super simple yet very flavorful. Combine the last four items in the list above (Soy sauce, Orange juice, Worcestershire sauce & Brown sugar).

Take a baking dish or container, place the meat in it and pour the marinade all over it. If you have to take the beef up somewhere, you can use a resealable plastic gallon bag where you place the meat, pour the marinade in and seal it up tight before you put it into the fridge.

You want to marinade overnight to give the meat ample time to soak the flavor.

Start Frying: When you’re done marinating the meat, apply salt and pepper over the roast evenly around it. Place it in the fryer’s basket. Set the fryer and 400 degrees F for 30 minutes and let the fryer do the magic. You’d want to flip the roast halfway through the cooking time, though.
